A bequest in your will is one of the easiest ways to provide for the future. With your lawyer’s help, you can provide for your family and support the any aspect of the church’s work as well by leaving a specific amount of money or a percentage of your estate.

You can choose the Foundation’s Living Spirit Endowment Fund, one of its Mission Focus Funds, or even create a Personal Endowment in your name to support your congregation, the Mission and Service Fund, or another aspect of the church’s work and other charities you’ve supported in your lifetime.

A charitable bequest can eliminate significant taxes payable upon your death. Your estate may claim gifts in the year of death equal to 100 percent of your net income in that year and the year preceding death.

Download this Bequest Information Sheet for you and your lawyer or notary to review while drafting your will.
