Decolonizing Projects
Canadian Council of Churches’ RE-STORYING project aimed to foster inter-generational dialogue among Canada’s racialized communities to tackle
racism and colonization. David says to begin with, they wanted to figure out how to decolonize the process of their project itself. “How can we just facilitate the process and not introduce the tone of the conversation? Our conclusion was that we needed the people to tell their own stories [about their experiences with racism].”
