Rev. Franklyn James is a theologian, poet, educator, and passionate advocate for social justice. Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, he now serves as the minister at West River United Church in Cornwall, Prince Edward Island. With extensive experience as an author and educator, Franklyn has devoted his career to fostering holistic growth and empowerment. He is also a valued member of the Foundation’s Scholarship Committee and chairs the Black Clergy Network.
“Why are we celebrating Black History Month?” Franklyn asks in the webinar. “And what are we celebrating?” He shares that if he is wondering about this, then surely others are as well.
