Foundation 2025 AGM
On June 19, 2025, The United Church of Canada Foundation held its 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM). It was great to share this time with the good number of folks on the call.
Jim Simpson, Chair of the Foundation’s Board of Directors and Sarah Charters, Foundation President led us through a brief overview of 2024. Jim says the Foundation’s webinar series is a highlight for him. Sarah lifts up the many new endowments created over the course of the year which will support various ministries.
Our special guest was the Rev. Morgan Bell. Morgan is the recipient of several academic awards and supports through the Foundation, notably the McGeachy Scholarship for Th.D Ph.D Studies. As Morgan is about to assume the position of Director of United Church Studies at Dio, his participation in the Foundation’s 2025 AGM is particularly poignant! Morgan gives an amazing sermon of hope, prayer, and purpose. Thank you Morgan for your wisdom and fiery love for our church. The Foundation is blessed to support visions and voices like yours.
