Upcoming Webinar – Works in Action: Caring for Creation
Mark your calendars for April 18, 2024 at 12PM EST for our webinar Works in Action: Caring for Creation. Join us for a one-hour webinar spotlighting inspiring projects dedicated to caring for Creation, supported by the United Church of Canada Foundation. Our panel of past grant recipients will share their projects, learnings, and experience working with the Foundation. Throughout the webinar, you’ll hear how communities are taking meaningful steps towards climate justice and protecting the environment.
The New Creed clearly names care for Creation as a tenet of The United Church of Canada’s belief and discipleship. To help us live out that Call, the Foundation is putting a focus on care for Creation and climate justice – the ethical aspects of human-driven climate change. In 2022, the Foundation named Climate Justice as one of their foundational priorities.
This webinar will be moderated by Jessica Smith, Foundation Communications & Campaign Associate, and will include stories and reflections from:
- Patty Duquette, Eden United Church (Mississauga, ON)
- Wendy Pope, Denman Island United Church and Gathering Place (Denman Island, BC)
- Jessica Banner, Evergreen (Toronto, ON)
