The Rev. Mitchell Anderson is lead minister of St. Paul’s United Church in Saskatoon, one of the fastest growing United Churches in the country. Mitchell holds an MBA and was part of (Re)Generate, former Moderator Carmen Lansdowne’s leadership accelerator. He is passionate about sharing the life-changing good news of Jesus Christ with new people and renewing the church through the power of the Holy Spirit.
In this webinar, Mitchell discusses the joys and challenges of growing the ministry of St. Paul’s United Church. Mitchell is often asked why God is growing St. Paul’s, and he tests some theories as to why in this webinar. He encourages folks to discern how they can use what he’s learned to help orient your own ministry to God and God’s people.
“Radical hospitality is not just friendliness,” Mitchell says. “It’s every element of when someone experiences your church. From the moment they check out your website and social media, to when they walk in the door, to when they sit in their seat, to the coffee they drink. All of that should be comfortable, inviting, welcoming and visitor-centric. Not church-centric.”
