You might have read about the Springs Art Wall project in last year’s annual report! Whether you’re keen to learn more, or you’re just hearing about it for the first time, this webinar is for you.
Sue is a congregation member at Inlet United Church Port Moody in British Columbia. She serves on the Inlet Connects Ministry Group.
“In 2021 Inlet United Church completed a redevelopment of our property. We created our new building to provide rental housing, space for community not-for-profits and a place of gathering and belonging.”
The Springs Art Wall project was a process of community gathering, sharing and learning, with reconciliation at its heart. In August 2024, Coast Salish Artist Atheana Picha installed a 42 by 42 foot mural on the side of the new building. The United Church Foundation provided funding to help host a ceremonial blessing of the artist and her work, in Coast Salish tradition.
