Upcoming Webinar – Works in Action: Multiple Church Youth Group
Mark your calendars for or webinar “Works in Action – Multiple Church Youth Group” on October 8, 2026!
Join us on Thursday, October 8 at noon Eastern for our Works in Action webinar series, as we learn about the Multiple Church Youth Group project from Rev. Brenda Torrie.
Children and youth need opportunities to explore their faith, learn, and grow, and they need communities where they can experience this with their peers. Many congregations are finding that changing demographics, and smaller numbers of children and youth in the pews can make it difficult to sustain programs on their own.
What if, instead of asking, “Do we have enough young people?” we asked, “What could we create together?”
A few members took up that question and proposed a Multiple Church Youth Group project among four United churches in Waterloo, ON. By working together, the churches put forward a way to nurture the spiritual growth of children and youth, even when numbers in individual congregations were small.
Join us to hear from Rev. Brenda, and consider what possibilities might emerge when churches share their gifts, resources, and commitment to young people.
