Upcoming Webinar – Expressing Awe and the Human Condition: Photography and Theology
Join us Oct. 2 at 12PM ET for Webinar Expressing Awe and the Human Condition: Photography and Theology!
Theology has many dance partners, including sociology, philosophy, economics, and history. But one often overlooked partner is photography.
In this webinar, we’ll explore the generative relationship between theology and photography, asking: What makes photography theological? And what happens when we approach theology itself as an art form?
Join this engaging conversation between The Rev. Dr. Alan Lai and The Rev. Dr. Catherine Faith MacLean.
- The Rev. Dr. Alan Lai is the photographer behind the UCC 100th anniversary iconic photo A Place At the Table. Formerly the principal of the Centre for Christian Studies, Alan is serving Tai Kong United Church in BC.
- The Rev. Dr. Catherine Faith MacLean is a Past President of the Canadian Theological Society. She has served congregations across the country. Among her recent publications are a sermon in Moments in Time, and an essay on supersessionism in Touchstone.
Reminder: When you register for the webinar, you’ll also receive access to the recording. We’ll email the recording to all registrants as soon as it’s available.
